An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in Medical Surgical Nursing (or relevant field) from an accredited and recognized university
At least three (3) years' teaching experience as a Lecturer or equivalent OR a minimum of six (6) years of industry experience
Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable)
Supervised to completion at least three (3) postgraduate students as a Lecturer or equivalent
A minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, at least twenty-four (24) of which must be from refereed scholarly journals
Persons from research institutions or practice/industry must meet the minimum point requirements for their respective subcategory to qualify for appointment
Must show evidence of community service
